School Bus Safety Reminder 🚌🚨The Oak Hill Police Department along with the Oak Hill Local Union School Bus Drivers want to remind everyone about some important school bus safety tips.As we start another school year, please help us keep our students safe:🛑 STOP FOR SCHOOL BUSES — When a school bus is stopped with its red lights flashing and stop sign extended, stop at least 10 feet away.👀 WATCH FOR CHILDREN — Children may be unpredictable and may not always use crosswalks. Watch carefully around school buses and bus stops.🐢 SLOW DOWN & STAY ALERT — Be extra cautious in school zones and whenever you see a school bus.🙏 BE PATIENT — Waiting a few extra seconds for children to safely enter or exit the bus could save a life.Ohio law requires drivers to stop for a stopped school bus as required by Ohio Revised Code Section 4511.75.Slow down. Today we celebrate an incredible milestone and honor an extraordinary public servant.After 48 years of dedicated service to the Village of Oak Hill, Catherine D. “Cathie” McFann is retiring. Beginning her career in July 1978 and serving faithfully through July 2026, Cathie has been a constant presence and an invaluable part of our Village family.For nearly five decades, her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving the citizens of Oak Hill have made a lasting impact on our community. Through many changes over the years, Cathie has always been someone the Village could count on, and her years of service are a testament to her loyalty and hard work.On behalf of the Village of Oak Hill, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your 48 years of service.
